It made me think of the fate of my stuff. My poor son will have to deal with all the fabric, machines, UFOs and finished artwork eventually--not something he will look forward to, I expect. I hate to think of it going to a resale shop. I've benefitted from giveaways of "mother's old fabric and yarn" when friends' mothers died or left their large homes, and I suppose that's one venue. One can donate to quilters in prisons, or to Indian reservations and the like. Or, I can just work diligently to sew all or most of that fabric into art. The harder question is, "What do we do with all that fiber art?" Some can go to family and friends; we could have an estate sale. Perhaps the best solution is to distribute as much as I can while I can. I shall have to noodle about that for a while.
However, as part of the "sew it all up" resolution, here are two more Yellow Arc pieces. The purple one, (#6) is made from the remnants of the handwoven purple cloth that I made the Lent stole from last week. The blue one (#8) contains sunprinted cotton and tiedyed indigo fabric from Folk Festival.
