So, essentially making fabric. I bought a badly tattered black linen women's pantsuit yesterday and cut it up last night. It will probably become a highway going through the fields. I'd love to include the railroad tracks--Eagle Lake has about 20 trains a day heading to and from the Port of Houston; once there were three depots in town to accommodate the various rail lines crossing here. Only one remains, and it's a museum now. The trains don't stop any more. But I don't want to be doing phototransfer of modern engines--it's too hard to get the scale right, and if it's wrong the whole thing looks dorky.
I've been trying to upload photos of the brown and green stuff, but something odd is happening in the computer/phone interface. I'll try turning off the computer and then on again, and see if that helps. Next post should show something of the final configuration. It will have to wait until we return from the Agave Festival in Marfa--at which point I should have some photos of the gallery and the festival activities.
