I was busy resisting the adorable stuffed, embroidered elephants until friend Margot convinced me that one could be an elegant pincushion.
We had a day or more of misty "almost rain" and it was in the 60s and 70s during our stay; on our way back to Eagle Lake we saw lots more wildflowers in the sun. I think they were just waiting for a little moisture and sunshine to burst out in glory. Altogether a lovely time with people I've known for over 30 years, lots of Mexican food and barbeque, catching up on family and other friends. Particularly excellent barbeque with family on the banks of the Pedernales near Fredericksburg--rather hated to wash my hands because licking my fingers was so delicious!
