It's nice and soft, easy to manipulate. The coiled part in this photo is near the neckline. This one just went together like a dream. Took a couple of weeks to do all the handwork, couching down yarns and stitching the sweater fabric to a piece of rusted and dyed silk canvas.
The name was obvious--Reef. That gave me an excuse to use some of the many beads I purchased five years ago on a beading binge with Larkin Van Horn. The whole process made me happy.
So today we went looking for yard sales; finding none, we went to Goodwill, where I bought three sweaters, a spangled formal gown and a couple of linen garments to start on Flyover #4. My fingers are itching already.
