Yesterday I sanded it a bit and put on two coats of the gold paint that covers the trim in the living room. Today was the fun stuff.
Last weekend we went to a local yard sale--15 families had combined their stuff, hoping to raise funds for a family gathering. Sister Gee Gee bought a lot of clothing to list on eBay as I wandered around looking at the vast variety of--well--stuff. I did not need a 12 foot Christmas tree, nor an autographed megaphone from Sam Houston State University. I did, however, need a place to put my morning coffee cup next to my reading chair, so felt quite comfortable paying $3 for a little pedestal table. It was boring dark brown and a little creaky but would surely hold a coffee mug and a cup of yogurt. It was sufficiently boring that I did not see any reason to take a photo. Yesterday I sanded it a bit and put on two coats of the gold paint that covers the trim in the living room. Today was the fun stuff. Quite a bit more interesting in its new iteration, I think. I have to go out now and apply a coat of polyurethane. Gee Gee suggested the toenails--I'm tempted to dub it the "pedicure table".
