Here's my friend/contractor Wayne up on the roof getting trim ready for painting. A very detail-oriented guy; I'm sure the house will be fully caulked and well-painted for the rest of my life. The next owner can worry about it after that.
The second piece is still just a pile of fabrics, but it has to do with a semi-planned trip to India with my granddaughter. Nothing about the trip is yet cast in bronze as we're still at the fantasizing stage. Nonetheless, there's enough meat in the fantasies to generate art work, so I'm stamping, stenciling and generally messing around with gold and silver paints to create some sumptuous design elements.
Earlier this week I picked up a copy of the Colorado County Citizen which included the interview as "Artist of the Month." I posted the photo we used earlier. Interested people can read the interview here: http://m.coloradocountycitizen.com/mobile/news/article_257536c6-7234-11e3-a61c-001a4bcf887a.html . Very nice publicity, and good questions, I think.
So--best New Year wishes to all as I go back to the work table.
